Gulf of València

The irrigation systems of the Gulf of València, mainly dedicated to horticulture, have undergone a massive incorporation of drip irrigation technologies, a transformation whose implications have not yet been sufficiently assessed and which IrriGo is going to address.

Ebro Valley

In this area, IrriGo’s work focuses on Riegos del Alto Aragón, the largest irrigation system in the Ebro basin, which has been immersed in a vast modernisation programme since the beginning of the century, facing the challenge of growing demand in a context of reduced availability of resources.

Meseta oriental

Over the last few decades, the La Mancha and Valencian districts on the eastern edge of the Spanish plateau have mobilised groundwater to develop highly technical irrigation systems, and face the challenge of sustainably exploiting their aquifers.
